Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient data flow, optimize database performance, and support data analysis across the organization. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to deliver reliable and scalable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines
- Build and optimize data architectures (ETL/ELT workflows)
- Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure data accuracy
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support analytics needs
- Implement data quality checks and perform troubleshooting
- Maintain and improve database performance and reliability
- Document technical processes and data workflows
- Use cloud platforms and big data tools to manage large datasets
- Ensure data security, compliance, and governance standards
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, IT, or related field
- Strong programming skills (Python, SQL, Java, or Scala)
- Experience with ETL tools and data pipeline development
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (SQL/NoSQL)
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with data warehousing concepts (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
- Understanding of big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD practices
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with real-time data processing
- Familiarity with Docker and containerization
- Knowledge of data orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, etc.)
- Background in data security and governance
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments
