About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Data Engineer
to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure that support analytics, reporting, and business operations. In this role, you will work closely with data analysts, scientists, and engineering teams to ensure data is reliable, accessible, and optimised for performance across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Build and manage data warehouses, data lakes, and database solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and security across all systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Optimise data workflows to improve speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot data-related issues and implement long-term fixes.
  • Support the integration of new data sources and tools into the infrastructure.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar technical role.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools, data pipeline frameworks, or workflow orchestration.
  • Familiarity with Python, Java, or Scala for data processing.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling and database optimisation.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
  • Knowledge of containerisation or CI/CD workflows.
  • Ability to document architecture and communicate technical concepts clearly.
