Kitchen Steward, MCG

Delaware North Australia is looking for skilled Kitchen Stewards to join our culinary team at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on a casual basis. As a Kitchen Steward, you will play a crucial role in ensuring cleanliness, order, and efficiency in the kitchen, contributing to the smooth functioning of the kitchen operations.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all kitchen areas
• Ensure WHS compliance by conducting temperature and quality checks and preventing cross-contamination
• Support kitchen staff in maintaining an organised and efficient workspace
• Perform hands-on cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dish-washing, and waste management
• Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts over a 7-day roster

• Previous experience as a kitchen steward or in a similar role is preferred

• Food Safety Certificate, or willingness to obtain one

• Valid Working With Children Check (employee version) is mandatory for all staff
