ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, this position is responsible for
- Operating a Excavator / Scrap Handler
- Sorting, processing and clearing scrap metal
- Using the forklift to move materials
- Unloading and loading materials from trucks
- Carrying out general yard duties
- Processing order and delivery slips
ABOUT YOU
You will have the ability to work both autonomously as well as under direct supervision. You will have good communication skills and willing to work as part of a small close knit team.
- Excavator or scrap handler experience
- Forklift license or willingness to obtain
- Drivers license
- Good communication skills.
- Motivated, proactive, willing to learn & take on new tasks
- Well presented. (uniform provided)
- Reliable and fit.
- General computer knowledge
- Willing to undertake ad hoc duties also.
Experience within metal industry or recycling facility and use using a five finger grab advantageous but not necessary.
