About Us
The Chubby Cubby Cafe isn't just a cafe; we're a beloved matcha destination in the heart of Haymarket. Known for our friendly vibes, top-tier coffee, and delicious food, we pride ourselves on providing a warm and welcoming experience for every customer. We're a small but passionate team, and we're looking for a talented and enthusiastic Barista / All-Rounder to join us.
The Role
This is a dynamic part-time position for a talented Barista and all-rounder. You'll be the face of our cafe, crafting exceptional coffee and matcha drinks, serving customers with a smile, and helping to keep our operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Barista: Consistently prepare and serve high-quality espresso and our renowned matcha beverages.
- Customer Service: Provide a warm, friendly, and efficient service to all our customers.
- All-Rounder Duties: Handle food plating, restock supplies, maintain cleanliness, and assist with general cafe tasks.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with the rest of the team to ensure a smooth and enjoyable service.
- Enthusiasm: Bring a positive attitude and a passion for great coffee, matcha, and hospitality
What We're Looking For
- Experience: A proven track record as a barista/all-rounder in a fast-paced cafe environment.
- Skills: Exceptional coffee-making skills and a strong understanding of espresso extraction. Experience with matcha is a plus
- Personality: Reliable, punctual, proactive, and a fantastic team player.
- Availability: Weekend availability is essential.
