About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and creative
Events & Marketing Assistant
to join our dynamic marketing team at the Sunnycare Group. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering diverse events and community programs that enhance resident engagement, strengthen community connections, and boost Sunnycare's brand presence.
This position is ideal for someone who is organised, energetic, a confident communicator, and passionate about creating meaningful experiences for seniors and multicultural communities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events aligned with Sunnycare's activity calendar, cultural festivals, and community initiatives.
· Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless delivery of events, while upholding Sunnycare's values and brand image.
· Act as MC or host for events when required.
· Build and maintain relationships with community organisations and sponsors to increase event reach and brand exposure.
· Administer and grow Sunnycare's member and volunteer programs, including onboarding, rostering, and reporting.
· Coordinate logistics such as client transport and event set-up.
· Maintain accurate records and manage event-related documentation and materials.
· Monitor event performance, gather feedback, and propose improvements for future initiatives.
About You:
Essential:
· Strong event planning and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
· Bilingual in English and Mandarin (Cantonese highly preferred).
· Confident public speaking and MC skills.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a natural ability to engage with seniors and culturally diverse communities.
· Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work in fast-paced environments.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with design tools such as Canva or Photoshop is a bonus.
· Own transport is necessary to attend and set up off-site events.
· Whilst you will typically work Monday - Friday, some events will be hosted on the weekend and your attendance will be required.
Desirable:
· Experience in aged care, disability services, or CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) community programs.
· Experience managing social media platforms and digital content creation.
· Experience in public speaking and hosting events.
