THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Perth based Senior Interior Designer to deliver innovative workplace, healthcare, and veterinary projects. The ideal candidate combines strong conceptual thinking with technical expertise, is highly detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role involves managing projects from concept through to completion and ensuring design excellence across all stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the design process from concept development through to documentation and delivery.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into innovative, functional, and aesthetically compelling design solutions.
- Prepare and present design concepts, mood boards, finishes boards, and client presentations.
- Oversee project programs, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Produce and review detailed documentation, drawings, and specifications.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay current with design trends, materials, and technologies, incorporating them into projects where relevant.
- Contribute to business development by participating in pitches and proposals.
- Manage and maintain strong client relationships.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio across commercial, workplace, and healthcare sectors.
- Proficiency in design software such as Archicad, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, compliance standards, and construction processes.
- Excellent conceptual design and presentation skills.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and client-facing skills.
- A collaborative designer with the ability to deliver outcomes at a high standard.
