Our client is a long-standing registered NDIS service provider, supporting people with disabilities across Melbourne's western suburbs for nearly fifty years. They deliver diverse services to hundreds of participants, helping individuals connect with opportunities and live the life they choose. ABOUTTHE OPPORTUNITY

This permanent 'People & Culture Business Partner' role reports to the GM, People & Culture, supporting ~300 staff. You'll combine strategic partnering with hands-on HR, providing coaching, operational support, and project delivery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing employee relations casework (grievances, disciplinary processes, investigations)
  • Supporting organisational accreditation (early 2026)
  • Coaching and capability building for managers
  • Delivering HR projects (engagement surveys, analysis)
  • Strengthening HRIS use, particularly ELMO
  • Supporting change management initiatives

KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities encompass a broad range of duties, including but not limited to:

  • Providing operational HR advice, support, and coaching to managers
  • Leading and managing ER processes
  • Supporting compliance and accreditation requirements
  • Partnering on training, development, and engagement initiatives
  • Administering and optimising HRIS (ELMO)
  • Driving culture and change initiatives aligned with growth

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Successful candidates should demonstrate:

  • Proven HR generalist experience in Aged Care, Disability Services, or the NFP sector
  • Knowledge of the SCHADS Award (highly desirable)
  • Experience in employee relations, including grievances and disciplinary actions
  • Effective coaching and business partnering skills to build manager capability and trust
  • Proficiency with HRIS and other systems, ideally ELMO
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through to ensure efficiency
  • Experience leading or supporting training, development, and change initiatives
  • A warm, approachable, and empathetic style while maintaining professional standards
