The Rockhampton Operations is seeking to grow its team of qualified and experienced Fitters. We are the industry leader for service and parts of CAT equipment and our customers across mining, resources and construction expect the very best. If you have interest in machinery rebuild or repair, our Tractorshop has options for you.
As a Diesel Fitter with Hastings Deering, you'll gain expertise in CAT machine rebuilds, with compensation based on your skills and competency, plus guaranteed annual increases. Safety and a 'no harm' culture are central to our values. Enjoy stability and work-life balance with a 4 on, 3 off day/afternoon roster, and potential for overtime and penalty rates based on service needs.
As a Fitter you will:
Repair, maintain and service key CAT machinery
Perform diagnostic assessments on mining and general construction equipment
Work as part of as skilled and driven team and get hands on with the following; Wheel loaders, Graders, Excavators, Dozers, Backhoes, Skid Steers and engines
Not to mention our surface mining equipment and Off Highway trucks

About You
A successful teammate will bring:
Trade Qualification – Certificate III Engineering (Diesel Fitting) and or a similar automotive/industrial trade is essential
A proven ability using computers and online programs essential
Committed to a 'No Harm' Environment and be physically fit and the ability to work in a workshop environment
Good communication skills with a commitment to working as a productive and positive team member
