Responsibilities

Verify online that product is compliant with customer specifications, food safety requirements and regulatory bodies

Conduct Internal & GMP audits
• Identify quality and food safety issues online and action and escalate

Assess, investigate and implement corrective and preventive actions for complaints &/or non-conforming products

Organise daily micro samples

Pre-operational checks to clear equipment and area prior to production

Coordination of in-process and finished product samples for analytical analysis

Calibration of quality critical equipment as per schedules

Identify and partake in process improvement initiatives

Participate in relevant project work as required

Ensure that all personnel completing CCP checks are signed off as competent

Qualifications

A degree or diploma in Food Science or related discipline or relevant industry experience

Have strong attention to detail

Excellent word processing, filing and organizational skills
• Excellent computer skills – in particular the Microsoft Office Suite

Capable analytical skills

Excellent and professional verbal and written communication skills

Good time management skills

Understanding of HACCP (certification)

Internal audit experience

Documentation maintenance of a quality assurance system manual
