About the role

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Coordinator Production to join our team across the Pilbara.

This role presents a great opportunity for an individual with strong leadership and well-developed communication skills to work within a dynamic open pit mining environment. You will undertake a range of support activities to assist the Supervisor's and enable them to lead the team in a safe and efficient manner. You will actively promote safety awareness and safe work practices with the aim of driving consistent performance and innovation in relation to safety, cost, and production.

You'll be part of a supportive team, supported by your Leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You'll work on an 8/6/7/7 roster which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be:

  • Working and behaving in a manner that demonstrates a commitment to Our Values of Care, Courage and Curiosity
  • Ensure the building and strengthening of working relationships with team members and key stakeholders to foster a culture of shared knowledge and common processes
  • Ensuring shift members and contractors understand and comply with HSE working procedures
  • Assisting in identify training and development needs for team members and provide feedback to the Supervisor
  • Recommending changes to the Supervisor that impact the production of the shift; address to negate problems, or capitalize on opportunities, and carry out those changes once approved
  • Assisting the Supervisor to conduct performance reviews by providing input to team members' performance
  • Undertaking acting duties when the Supervisor is absent and liaising with other departments and stakeholders in a professional manner
  • Allocating tasks to crew members at the commencement of the shift in accordance to the daily plan, and throughout the shift in response to changes to work priorities
  • Reporting on the performance of the shift and participating in handovers between shifts

What you'll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Respect for others and an all-inclusive mindset
  • Demonstrated experience working in an open pit mining environment
  • Experience with Komatsu AHS
  • Experience leading an operational team (Coordinator, Pit Patroller or Acting Coordinator) is highly regarded
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and negotiate as required accordingly
  • Able to coach, self-reflect and put action into feedback
  • Alignment to our values of Care, Curiosity and Courage
  • A current Australian 'C' class driver's license
