Global Creatures (GC) is a world-class theatrical production company headquartered in Sydney, with offices in New York and London. We develop, produce and licence original and blockbuster theatrical productions across Australia and internationally.
Our most recent success, Moulin Rouge The Musical, is the winner of 10 Tony Awards, the first Australian produced musical to originate on Broadway. It is currently playing on Broadway, the West End, Germany, Netherlands, a North American Tour with a second season in South Korea set for November 2025.
Over the last 18 years GC has brought to life productions including King Kong; Muriel's Wedding The Musical; Strictly Ballroom The Musical; How To Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular; and Walking With Dinosaurs – The Arena Spectacular. With a dynamic slate of new projects in development, we've recently acquired the rights to Trent Dalton's best selling novel, Boy Swallows Universe for the stage and we are producing Gatsby: An American Myth with music and lyrics by Florence Welsh.
The Role
We're seeking a Marketing Director, Australia to lead the strategic development and execution of a national integrated marketing campaign for one of Global Creatures' productions in Australia.
This is a high impact role focused on driving ticket sales and audience engagement. You'll work closely with our ticketing service provider to shape strategy and tactical campaigns, monitor daily sales and collaborate with a high performing marketing team to optimise outcomes. You will oversee and work with our advertising agency, with a strong focus on digital strategy and performance manage media planning, oversee content creation and social media strategy and brand consistency across all channels. You will also oversee and work closely with our PR agency to maximise national press opportunities and elevate the production's brand.

- Empathy and an ability to manage with clarity and kindness
Experience we require from you:
- 10+ years of related marketing experience
- A tertiary qualification in a marketing discipline such as marketing, PR, Communications or similar
- Strong experience in audience engagement and brand development and analysing ticket sales and box office reports to measure performance
- Proven ability to drive the development and implementation of marketing communications and brand initiatives while ensuring tactical plans deliver against business objectives and strategies
- A love for live entertainment and musical theatre
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, MS Teams, Asana, Facebook Business Manager, Adobe Creative Suite
- Outstanding verbal and written communication and project leadership skills
- Proven ability to multi-task and to prioritise in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Australian work authorisation is required for this role.
