As the Paediatric Advanced Trainee in the role of a Retrieval Fellow of Children's Health Queensland Retrieval Service (CHQRS) Fellow you will provide educational and safety and quality support as a key member of the CHQRS leadership team.
The role also provides direct and indirect medical care of paediatric intensive care and high dependency patients under the supervision of Consultant Senior Medical Officers appointed to CHQRS and the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

About the Role

In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework (PDF) ( ) and the Queensland Public Service ( ) and the CHQ values ( ). Your contribution will include:

  • Deliver medical services through participation in clinical duties at the Fellow level and in accordance with the policies and practices of CHQ HHS.
  • Actively participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team by working collaboratively and effectively with other health professionals. Understand the need for flexibility of roles in resource-poor environments.
  • Take part in clinical audit and run patient safety and quality management meetings and initiatives.
