Clayton South, Victoria, Australia Monash University Full time $60,000 - $100,000 per year

The Opportunity

Join the team as Research Officer (Peer Navigator), supporting the delivery of clinical trials within the Computational Neuroscience Laboratory and the Addiction and Impulsivity Research group. This position will drive participant engagement across clinical trials of psychedelic-based psychotherapy for addiction and ensure participants are supported at every stage of the research journey, from onboarding through to completion, while coordinating with health services and support networks to deliver both research efficiency and value-based care. This position is fixed-term with the possibility of extension subject to funding.

Working at the centre of a vibrant multidisciplinary team of researchers, therapists and clinicians, this position will be responsible for maintaining a safe and compliant research environment while optimising the participant experience. The role contributes to clinical trial success through participant navigation, data collection, scheduling, documentation and analysis, while remaining connected to peers and developments in the field. This unique balance of participant-focused care and rigorous research delivery makes the role an integral part of advancing clinical knowledge.

We are seeking candidates with a tertiary qualification in a relevant field with demonstrated strong organisational, technical and analytical skills. Experience in participant-facing research activities and an interest in working with clinical populations affected by substance use disorders will be highly regarded. Training or experience in lived experience research will also be valued.

This is an opportunity to be part of a research program that is shaping new approaches in neuroscience and mental health care, and we invite you to apply to help deliver meaningful impact.

Monash University seeks applicants for this opportunity who are able to demonstrate present valid and current Australian work rights.
