Senior Paralegal / Legal Assistant – Litigation, Banking & Insolvency (Hybrid)

We are representing our client, a growing national boutique law firm, in their search for a
Senior Legal Assistant or Paralegal
with a minimum of 10 years' experience in legal practice.

This is a unique opportunity to join a firm that challenges the traditional law firm environment – prioritising flexibility, collaboration, and sustainable legal practice. If you're looking for a typical, rigid law firm structure, this role won't be the right fit.

Instead, you'll be part of a dynamic, fast-paced, and client-focused team that undertakes high-profile, diverse matters across multiple sectors, including financial services, property, manufacturing, listed companies, private clients, and SMEs.

About the Role

  • Provide high-level support across complex legal matters at State and Federal Court levels.
  • Draft and file legal correspondence and court documents.
  • Manage billing, reporting, and client communications.
  • Liaise with clients, third parties, lawyers, counsel, and suppliers.
  • Mentor and support junior legal staff.
  • Potential to transition into a
    Practice Management Support
    role to the Managing Partner as the firm continues to grow.

About You

  • 10+ years' professional experience in a legal environment.
  • Skilled in preparing and filing legal documents across jurisdictions.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and court deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Autonomous, detail-oriented, and collaborative in your approach.
  • Experienced in billing, reporting, and client relationship management.
