Location: North Brisbane (Client based in Newmarket)

Job Type: Casual (18 hours per week)

Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday

We are a newly registered NDIS provider based in North Brisbane, offering personalized and compassionate support to individuals with disabilities. As a small, close-knit team, we are committed to delivering high-quality care that helps our participants live independently and with dignity. We are currently seeking a warm, experienced Support Worker to join our team and support a middle-aged participant based in Newmarket.

Your warmth, compassion, and ability to build trust will play a crucial role in supporting our participant to achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily activities.
  • Assist with meal preparation as required and household tasks.
  • Support transportation to appointments, social activities, and community engagement.
  • Foster a positive and respectful relationship with the participant, encouraging their independence.
  • Work collaboratively with the participant and the team to develop and implement care plans.
  • Keep detailed records and report any changes in the participant's condition or needs.
  • Create a supportive and encouraging environment that promotes emotional and physical well-being.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a support worker, especially within the NDIS framework.
  • Warm, compassionate, and empathetic approach to care.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with participants and team members effectively.
  • Genuine commitment to helping others live independently.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
  • Experience in supporting individuals with varying needs is a plus.
