As a Business Development Representative, your main responsibility will be to engage with prospects through direct calls and face-to-face meetings. You will need to contact key personnel and convert these leads into scheduled meetings to present our mission and purpose to sporting and RSL Clubs in NSW. At your disposal we already have a database of information on key contacts and Club performance metrics.
We have two key territories which include the Central Coast/Hunter Region and South Western Sydney/Illawarra Region.
This role requires a high level of energy, persistence, the ability to build relationships, think on your feet and strong attention to detail. You must be a confident communicator who enjoys picking up the phone and building long-term relationships with local sporting and RSL clubs, and not-for-profits. Your goal will be to secure funding approval, drive application activity, and maximise engagement and impact within the community and key stakeholders.
This is a part-time position, requiring 15 hours per week of commitment. This is a temporary position during the months of September, October and November, with the potential to lead into future work. You will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule and workload but must have access to your own vehicle for travel to meetings. This will allow you to maintain a high level of flexibility and ensure that you can reach key stakeholders in a timely manner. Travel and out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our organisation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities and mobility limitations through the provision of assistive technology solutions. As a Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in generating support and funding for our projects by establishing strong partnerships with local sporting and RSL Clubs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage with prospects via direct calls and face-to-face meetings.
• Convert leads into face-to-face meetings, particularly with medium to large local sporting and RSL Clubs.
• Identify key details, including current grant programs, application start and end dates.
• Provide comprehensive information on our mission and assistive technology product range.
• Write and submit update reports after each meeting, present findings and recommendations.
Essential Skills:
• Proven experience in telesales and face-to-face conversions.
• Energetic, persistent, and results-driven.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Confident communicator.
• Excellent customer service skills.
What you Bring:
• 5+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development.
• Strong relationship management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with CRM systems Salesforce and Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
• A purpose-driven and values-aligned mindset.
• Knowledge and experience with Sporting and RSL clubs and/or assistive technology is highly desirable.
