Role Overview:

We are seeking a Financial Analyst
to play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, analyzing business performance, and providing data-driven insights to support decision-making. The role will focus on financial reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, and compliance, while also contributing to strategic projects and process improvements. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial insights effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records, ensuring integrity across accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger transactions.
  • Reconcile company accounts and bank statements, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and annual budgets.
  • Generate financial reports and perform in-depth analysis to guide decision-making and identify performance trends.
  • Conduct variance and cost analysis, highlighting opportunities for operational and financial improvements.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and providing necessary explanations.
  • Monitor and track business expenses to ensure adherence to budgets and company policies.
  • Review and validate employee expense claims, ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
  • Contribute to tax-related activities, including GST filings and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Provide data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to management based on financial analysis.
  • Support special projects, financial modeling, and strategic initiatives as assigned.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for financial data and analysis with accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; CPA, CA, or similar certifications preferred.
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with strong knowledge of financial principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems; familiarity with reporting standards is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Effective organizational and time-management skills, able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able speak fluent Chinese / Mandarin and a good level of English
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
