Rimkus is a worldwide provider of Engineering and Technical Consulting to Corporations, Insurance Companies, Law Firms, and Government agencies. Rimkus Experts specialise in Forensic Consulting, Dispute Resolution and Construction Management services, solutions for the Built Environment, and Human Factors support for the consumer, industrial, and healthcare industries.

The role

As a senior member of our team, you will operate as a thought leader and will take ownership of client relationships and drive the growth of our Quantum Expert team in the NSW market. You will be responsible for winning and managing client commissions, and ideally you have testified in court or arbitration, or have been engaged to testify.

Our projects span across Transport, Renewables, Utilities, Industrial and Commercial Building sectors.

Furthermore you will:

  • Develop strategies for preparing and responding to complex commercial claims
  • Conduct reviews of submissions to clients and be accountable for maintaining Rimkus quality standards
  • Author your own expert reports and claims submissions/rebuttals
  • Present to clients and other stakeholders on complex matters
  • Foster relationships with existing and new clients
  • Be keen to work in a collaborative environment with other experts within Rimkus
  • Understand the local market environment in which they operate
  • Lead teams in the delivery of commissions

Our Requirements

  • 15+ years of industry experience, preferably with a Construction or Engineering Contractor / Consultancy and/or a specialist claims consultancy.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Law, or a similar discipline.
  • A Construction Law degree or related comparable postgraduate qualification is highly desirable such as MSc / LLB in Construction Law and Arbitration.
  • Possess deep and up to date industry-specific knowledge with an established professional network
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams and driving business growth within a region or organisation.
  • Expertly mentors and transfers knowledge and understanding to project teams and practice area colleagues, ensuring the highest standards of technical excellence, quality outcomes and consistency company wide.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve area processes and workflows, streamlining how Expert work is performed and evaluating overall effectiveness
