Join a loving family environment and make a meaningful difference supporting an extraordinary young boy with complex needs.
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and reliable individual to join our small, exceptional support team caring for our 9-year-old son, who lives with a complex disability and medical needs. This is a rare opportunity to provide consistent, person-centred care within a warm, supportive family home.
About the Role
Permanent Part-Time (minimum 50 hours per fortnight, plus overtime)
This position involves supporting our son in all aspects of his daily life, including:
- Attending to personal and daily living care needs
- Providing clinical support including medication administration, PEG feeding, and suctioning
- Assisting during therapy sessions and medical appointments
- Performing domestic support tasks related to his care needs
- Supporting his participation in community and social activities
- Completing accurate and timely documentation and reporting
Manual handling (including two-person lifts and floor-based interaction)
This role includes weekend work and requires flexibility, as our son's needs can vary day-to-day. You'll receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to ensure confidence in all aspects of care.
About Our Son
Life presents its challenges, but our son meets each day with determination, humour, and a sparkle in his eye. He is affectionate, funny, and loves forming genuine bonds with those who care for him. His laughter is infectious, and his connection with others is truly special — his ability to share joy is one of his superpowers.
Who We're Looking For
- Patient, adaptable, and eager to learn
- Energetic, imaginative, and committed to long-term continuity of care
- Calm, proactive, and able to think on your feet
- Brings a fun, inclusive, and person-centred approach to everyday tasks
If you're ready to make a meaningful, long-term commitment to supporting our incredible son and truly making a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a direct employment opportunity — no ABN required.
While experience in paediatric or complex disability support is an advantage, it's not essential. We provide comprehensive training to help you confidently support our son's unique needs.

- Experienced Support Workers with paediatric or complex care experience
- Health students (OT, SP, PT) interested in gaining hands-on paediatric experience

What You Will Get
- A stable, permanent part-time position with the opportunity for additional hours
- Comprehensive paid training and ongoing clinical support
- A warm, inclusive, and respectful family environment
- A chance to build a meaningful, long-term relationship with one very special child
- Experience that will enhance your professional and personal growth in complex paediatric care
- Above-award pay and recognition for your skills and dedication
