Customer Service Officer

The role of the Customer Service Officer is to provide high quality counter service when dealing with customer and public inquiries.  The Customer Service Officer is responsible for the provision of efficient and professional customer service and advice to all venue users and patrons.

Key Tasks

• Provide exceptional customer service in person, via phone and email ensuring quality customer service outcomes and timely  resolution to queries
• Provide quality and timely support across various departments through the completion of administrative tasks, assisting unit activities, deliverables and outcomes.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service ability ensuring internal and external expectations and requirements are met.
• Perform all cashiering, ensure all monies received are accurately receipted and assist with reconciliation daily.
• Assist with Venue bookings (Pace Fitness classes and gym, Badminton)
• Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with SQ's policies and procedures, particularly in the areas of workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity, workplace harassment, bullying and discrimination.

About You

• Minimum 12 months experience in a customer service role.
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent telephone manner and attentiveness.
• Ability to follow instruction and work under limited supervision.
• Ability to acquire knowledge of the venue and its facilities.
• Ability to use Word, Excel and Outlook as well as general computer skills.
• High work ethic, commitment to professional presentation and flexibility in the workplace and ethical practice.
• Ability to take and reconcile payments

The SSC is a centre of excellence for high performance training and competition sporting programs, including the development of future elite athletes. Located at Chandler in Brisbane, the venue is a training base for Australia's high-performance athletes for swimming, diving, and aerial and mogul skiers, as well as Queensland's elite and development athletes in sports including swimming, diving, gymnastics, BMX, track cycling, water polo, artistic swimming, basketball and weightlifting.

SSC hosts international, national and state events and caters for a wide variety of aquatic and fitness activities, learn to swim programs, community sports, recreation and cultural events.

The precinct encompasses the Brisbane Aquatic Centre including the Geoff Henke Winter Olympic Training Centre and Diving Australia's High Performance dry dive centre, Anna Meares Velodrome, Brisbane SX International BMX Centre, Chandler Arena, Chandler Theatre, Queensland State Gymnastics Training Centre and Chandler Lodge and Cabins which provide short-stay accommodation facilities.
