Trainer & Assessor - Building and Construction (Building)

Holborne Institute is currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Trainer and Assessor to deliver the CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of skilled tradespeople in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver competency-based training and assessment in line with CPC40120 qualification requirements.
  • Develop and update session plans, training resources, and assessment tools aligned with industry practices and the Training Package.
  • Facilitate practical demonstrations and projects in simulated workplace settings.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessment outcomes, and attendance.
  • Provide regular, constructive feedback and support to learners to help them achieve competence.
  • Contribute to validation, moderation, and continuous improvement of training and assessment materials.
  • Engage with industry stakeholders to ensure training remains current and relevant to industry needs.
  • Uphold compliance with the Standards for RTOs 2025 and Work Health and Safety (WHS) obligations.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification in Building and Construction (Building) or equivalent (Certificate IV or above).
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent as per current ASQA standards).
  • Minimum 3 years of recent, relevant industry experience in building and construciton.
  • Sound knowledge of the CPC Training Package and construction site practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with learners from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in maintaining training records and using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • A commitment to student success and professional integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
