About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to lead product quality, compliance, and safety for our imported cosmetic product portfolio.

The QA Manager will oversee the Quality Management System (QMS), manage supplier compliance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to protect consumers and brand integrity.

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain ANZ, this role will work very closely with the Quality Control Manager to ensure that every product meets Australian regulatory, quality, and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Oversight

  • Maintain and improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS), including SOPs, records, and internal training.
  • Manage and review permits, licences, and regulatory documentation for imported cosmetics.
  • Auditing & Supplier Management
  • Conduct and lead internal and external audits to assess compliance and quality performance.
  • Oversee supplier qualification and approval, including assessments of ethical sourcing, ESG compliance, and modern slavery obligations.
  • Review GMP documentation, COAs, stability studies, and quality certifications from international suppliers.

Risk & Incident Management

  • Manage the complaints process, including adverse event monitoring and reporting obligations.
  • Lead mandatory reporting to regulators where required.
  • Oversee the recall process, including traceability, root cause investigations, and communication with regulatory affairs.
  • Cross-Functional Support
  • Support Supply Chain in import controls, batch verification, and logistics quality
  • Provide QA training and guidance across teams to promote a culture of quality and compliance.

Skills & Qualifications:

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in quality assurance or quality management within cosmetics, personal care, or FMCG.
  • Demonstrated experience in auditing, supplier qualification, and recalls.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ISO13485 & ISO9001

Desirable

  • Experience managing ESG/modern slavery compliance in supplier networks.
  • Experience working with BICOIN & CITES
