The Opportunity

The Behavioural Science team at the Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant (Level A) to join our cutting-edge team.
In this research-only academic role, you'll collaborate on diverse projects focussed on injury prevention and safety science, applying behavioural science methodologies to solve complex problems. From conducting literature reviews and preparing ethics applications, to engaging with stakeholders and collecting data through surveys and naturalistic driving studies, your work will be integral to shaping safer communities.
What you'll do:
- Contribute to high-impact research under expert guidance
- Prepare reports and presentations for government and industry stakeholders
- Design and conduct participant studies, including innovative naturalistic driving studies
- Analyse data with precision and integrity using tools like SPSS
- Support grant and tender submissions for major research initiatives
What we're looking for:
- A background in behavioural science, psychology, or human factors
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Proven experience in data collection, analysis, and academic writing
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with confidence
