Our client is seeking a skilled Software Engineer - Integration to join a Finance Modernisation Program. This role will be instrumental in modernising the organisations finance systems, working closely with technical teams, stakeholders, and the system integrator to deliver high-quality integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement integration solutions for the Finance Modernisation Program
  • Build reusable APIs and ensure adherence to best practice development standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and the Integration Lead to refine integration strategies
  • Conduct system analysis, design, programming, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Perform quality control, unit testing, and peer code reviews to ensure solution quality
  • Provide third-level support during the program's hyper-care phase
  • Contribute to release planning, deployment, and documentation updates

Requirements

  • Relevant degree or qualification in software development, computer science, or similar
  • Proven experience building Java-based applications (Spring, Hibernate) and integration solutions
  • Strong technical skills in Java, Mule 4, ESB, XML, JSON, SQL, and REST/SOAP APIs
  • Experience designing and building interfaces using SOA concepts and an Enterprise Service Bus
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to work across multiple tasks while maintaining high quality standards
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches
  • Working with Children Check and ability to pass a police check
