We're on the lookout for a dynamic Assistant Coordinator to join our Somerville House team. If you love leading a group of enthusiastic Educators and want to create a play-filled, exciting atmosphere for primary-school-aged children, then this is the role for you
This permanent part-time position offers 25 hours per week, with the flexibility to take on extra hours during school holidays. You'll be supporting our morning and afternoon programs, helping kids get their day started or winding down with some fun-filled after-school activities.

Your role will include:
- Leading fun-filled programs where children explore everything from STEM and sports to arts & crafts (whatever sparks their imagination).
- Fostering strong connections with children, parents, and the school community to create a nurturing environment.
- Managing a team of passionate Educators, including organizing rosters and helping them grow in their roles.
- Assisting with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring everything runs smoothly, including compliance and administration.
What We're Looking For – Is This You?
While we're excited to train and guide you in the role, here's what you'll need to bring:
A genuine love for working with children and making an impact.
Strong communication skills—you'll be guiding and supporting others
The ability to work well in a team and the desire to grow into a leadership role.
A National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain them).
Australian work rights.
A relevant qualification or be actively working towards one (per ACECQA standards).
