OSHC Assistant Coordinator

Overview

Join our team as a Part-Time Assistant Coordinator at St Pius OSHC in Banyo. This is a permanent, part-time role (27 hours per week), Monday to Friday.

At St Pius OSHC, we provide before school care, after school care, and vacation care for up to 195 children. Our service supports families in the Banyo/Nudgee community and is located on the grounds of St Pius Catholic Primary School. We work closely with St Pius Primary School and our parish community to create a strong, values-driven environment for children and educators.

We're looking for someone available to work both morning and afternoon shifts to meet service needs. The regular shift times are 7:00-9:00 am and 2:00-5:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the service, including program planning, delivery, and documentation
• Staff rostering and supervision
• Administration and financial management tasks (e.g. fee collection)
• Assist in the delivery of a high quality, inclusive, educational program
• Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment
• Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
• Participate in professional and personal development
• Consent to be the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the coordinator
• Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values of Centacare Child Care Services

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Children's Services (or ACECQA equivalent)
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
• Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations
• Experience in the education and care of children (OSHC)
• Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred)
• Effective workplace communication and leadership skills
