Position Overview

The Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and visitors and plays a key role in ensuring the clinic runs efficiently. This role combines front desk responsibilities with essential administrative and operational support.


Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and assist patients in a professional, friendly manner
  • Manage appointment bookings and schedules
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and general enquiries
  • Process payments, Medicare, DVA, NDIS, and private health claims
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
  • Support daily clinic administration and compliance documentation
  • Assist with referrals, marketing, and patient engagement activities
  • Liaise with health professionals, suppliers, and stakeholders
  • Provide operational support to the Director to ensure smooth clinic management

Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in healthcare, allied health, or similar setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Confident with administrative and financial tasks
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently
  • Familiarity with practice management software (e.g., Cliniko) desirable
  • Friendly, approachable, and team-oriented attitude
