Archie Rose Distilling Co. was founded in Rosebery, Sydney in 2014 with an aim to re-ignite and lead Australia's rich history in distilling, driven by four values including innovation, quality, authenticity and education. Now proudly Australia's most highly awarded distillery, we produce a diverse range of whiskies, gins, vodkas and rums, as well as one-off collaborations and limited releases.
Our dynamic and growing blending team is looking for a passionate and gifted Spirits Blender to assist the Master Distiller and Lead Spirits Blender in shaping the future of Australian spirits. To be successful in this role, the applicant will be a driven and committed professional with at least one year working in sensory analysis or beverage manufacturing. You will have a strong working knowledge of distilled spirits or related alcoholic beverages, and their sensory attributes.

Position available:
Spirits Blender - Monday to Friday (6 am – 2 pm)
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Screening sensory attributes of work in progress distilled spirits (Rye Whisky, Single Malt Whisky, Gin, Vodka, Rum)
- Generating limited release and core finished products from work-in-progress components
- Managing quality assurance on bottling line functions and product raw materials
- Managing inventory availability forecasts and reports
- Participating and running daily sensory panels for work-in-progress and finished products
- Taking and maintaining precise quantitative and qualitative records
- Regulatory recordkeeping and inventory management compliance
- Maintenance of a safe work environment by adhering to WH&S procedures
You have:
- Strong sensory acuity, with a skillset in tasting and analysing spirits
- Formal qualifications in sensory analysis, food science, distilling or engineering are desirable
- Excellent Excel and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to learn new tasks quickly
