About you
Through innovation and substantial growth this newly created position is looking for the perfect candidate that excels in building and nurturing relationships and has strong networking abilities. You should possess sound judgment, be quick-witted, and proactive. The ideal candidate will be a person, of any gender, who is fiercely driven to succeed and is equipped with a lively sense of humor and an energetic personality.
You will manage and identify new and existing Account customer relationships, proactively finding solutions for their businesses, overseeing customer growth, retention, and the promotion of our clients' products and services, as well as conducting regular account reviews.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 5+ years of proven sales/account management experience (building materials, construction)
- Strong understanding of the Timber Market and relevant product knowledge - Highly desirable
- Experience and knowledge of Engineered Wood Products an advantage
- Existing relationships with builders in the region an advantage
- Industry knowledge and confidence to hold your own in technical product conversations
- The communication skills to open doors, build trust and close deals
- A self-starter with grit - someone who thrives on creating and converting opportunities
- Strategic thinking to effectively own and maximise your territory
- Strong understanding of timber products and their applications.
- Successful relationship management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; with an eye for detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisation, planning and time management abilities
- Consistently displays a professional and courteous manner in representing the organisations core value of excellence in customer service
- Engaging presentation style
- Great personality
