Job Description

Our Outside School Hours Care service, Kalkie, is looking for a passionate Assistant Coordinator to assist with managing the service and providing engaging programs for our primary-age children. This is a permanent part-time opportunity offering 30 hours per week  to assist with leading a team of passionate Educators.

You'll work split shifts, supporting our Monday-Friday hours: 6:00am-9:00am (Rise then Shine) and 2:30pm-6:00pm (Stay and Play). Extra hours are also available during school holidays

  • Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into
  • Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
  • Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

Qualifications

We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:

Enjoys working with children and making a positive impact  

Communicates clearly and confidently  

Works well in a team and aspires to grow into a leadership role  

Holds (or is willing to obtain) a National Police Check and a Working with Children check  

Has Australian work rights 

Obtained or studying towards a relevant qualification to work with kids in OSHC per ACECQA
