We thrive on the opportunity of delivering competitive and tailored solutions.  We are now seeking an experienced multi-ticket Plant and Machinery Operator with experience and tickets using a moxy, excavator and wheel loader to join the team at our Swanbank facility.

Reporting to the Ipswich Operations Manager, the Plant and Machinery Operator's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Operate all plant equipment, machinery and vehicles in a careful, safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation and company policies and procedures.
  • Handling of organic and inorganic waste during the production of the soil and compost in accordance with set policies, procedures, regulations and legislation.
  • Perform daily pre-start, safety and maintenance checks and advise manager of any faults, service and/or maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure all activities integrate with organisational requirements for quality management.
  • Clean plant equipment and machinery as scheduled and/or required.
  • Ensure plant equipment and machinery are safely and securely stored.
  • Perform miscellaneous position related duties and labour as required.

This is a full-time position Monday – Friday with some rostered weekend work. The Plant and Machinery Operator will be required to operate various pieces of equipment including moxy, excavator and wheel loader.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Waste industry experience (advantageous).
  • Excavator, front end loader and moxy tickets (mandatory).
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to follow procedures and job instructions with safety being a priority.
  • Reliable, punctual and self-motivated.
  • Have a great attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work weekend shifts.
  • Diligence when it comes to completing pre-start checks, machinery maintenance reports, reporting of all near misses, potential hazards etc.

Please note prior to commencement, candidates will need to provide an updated traffic history check, participate in a criminal history check and undertake a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.
