About the role

Diggit Plant Hire is seeking a motivated and experienced Float Driver to join our team in Ipswich, Queensland. As a Float Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of heavy machinery and equipment to and from construction sites. This is a vital role that supports the successful delivery of our services to clients across the region.

What you'll be doing

  1. Safely operate float truck to transport heavy equipment and machinery
  2. Ensure all loads are properly secured and comply with relevant transport regulations
  3. Conduct pre-and post-trip inspections to identify and address any maintenance or safety issues
  4. Provide excellent customer service by delivering equipment on time and in good condition
  5. Maintain detailed records of deliveries, maintenance, and any incidents
  6. Assist with loading and unloading equipment as required
  7. Contribute to a positive and safety-focused work environment

What we're looking for

  1. Valid heavy vehicle (HC or MC) driver's licence
  2. Experience operating and manoeuvring heavy vehicles and equipment trailers
  3. Knowledge of relevant transport regulations and safety practices
  4. Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  6. Commitment to workplace health and safety
  7. Casual to start but for the right person will lead to Fulltime.
  8. Plenty of work
