About the role
We're seeking a passionate and experienced Operational Veterinarian to join our team and lead on-site animal health and welfare initiatives across our poultry operations in New South Wales. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in the field, values traditional practices, and is committed to driving long-term improvements in poultry care.
What you'll do
- Provide on-site veterinary support across NSW farms, identifying and resolving animal health issues firsthand.
- Conduct animal welfare assessments, write detailed reports, and develop practical, long-term solutions.
- Lead and refine vaccination programs and protocols.
- Collaborate with nutritionists to select optimal feed for poultry layers.
- Upskill farm staff in procedures and general hen welfare.
- Interpret serology reports and apply findings to improve flock health.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and integrate them into daily operations.
- Champion traditional veterinary practices while embracing innovation.

What We're Looking For
- Veterinary degree recognised in Australia.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in poultry layers.
- Proven ability in report writing and field-based diagnostics.
- Proficient in MTech and general computer literacy.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.
- Must be comfortable working independently and making decisions on-site.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
