About the role

Warners Bay Vet is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Nurse to join our team in Warners Bay, NSW 2282. This part-time/casual position is an excellent opportunity for an animal-loving individual to contribute to the care and wellbeing of our patients. As a Veterinary Nurse, you will play a crucial role in supporting our veterinarians and providing high-quality nursing care to our furry, feathered, and scaled companions.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting veterinarians during examinations, procedures, and treatments
  • Performing routine nursing tasks such as administering medications, bandaging wounds, and collecting samples
  • Monitoring and caring for hospitalised patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being
  • Educating clients on pet care, medication administration, and post-operative instructions
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and inventory of supplies
  • Promoting a positive and welcoming environment for both clients and patients

What we're looking for

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrated experience as a Veterinary Nurse, preferably in a small animal practice
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent patient care skills
  • Effective communication and client service abilities
  • Passion for animal welfare and a desire to contribute to the health and wellbeing of pets
  • Flexibility to work within a part-time/casual schedule, including some weekends
