Supported Independant living house manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Support Independent Living (SIL) House Manager to lead a residential home supporting people with disability under the NDIS. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring high-quality, person-centred supports while maintaining compliance, safety, and a positive team culture.
The successful applicant will play a key role in empowering participants to live meaningful, independent lives while supporting and mentoring a team of support workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of a SIL home
- Lead, mentor, and supervise support staff
- Ensure supports align with individual goals, BSPs, and NDIS standards
- Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and reporting requirements
- Manage rosters, incident reports, and documentation
- Build strong relationships with participants, families, guardians, and stakeholders
- Support participants with complex needs, including behaviours of concern (where applicable)
- Promote choice, control, dignity, and safety at all times
About You
You are a confident and compassionate leader who:
- Has previous experience in SIL, disability, or residential care management
- Demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills
- Understands NDIS Practice Standards and duty of care
- Can manage complex situations calmly and professionally
- Is organised, reliable, and values accountability
- Leads by example and fosters a positive, respectful team culture
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Certificate IV in Disability, Community Services, or similar (Diploma desirable)
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within disability or care
- Strong understanding of NDIS and person-centred practice
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check (if required)
- First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Driver's Licence
- Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call as required
