About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Support Independent Living (SIL) House Manager to lead a residential home supporting people with disability under the NDIS. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring high-quality, person-centred supports while maintaining compliance, safety, and a positive team culture.

The successful applicant will play a key role in empowering participants to live meaningful, independent lives while supporting and mentoring a team of support workers.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a SIL home
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise support staff
  • Ensure supports align with individual goals, BSPs, and NDIS standards
  • Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and reporting requirements
  • Manage rosters, incident reports, and documentation
  • Build strong relationships with participants, families, guardians, and stakeholders
  • Support participants with complex needs, including behaviours of concern (where applicable)
  • Promote choice, control, dignity, and safety at all times

About You

You are a confident and compassionate leader who:

  • Has previous experience in SIL, disability, or residential care management
  • Demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills
  • Understands NDIS Practice Standards and duty of care
  • Can manage complex situations calmly and professionally
  • Is organised, reliable, and values accountability
  • Leads by example and fosters a positive, respectful team culture

Essential Requirements
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Disability, Community Services, or similar (Diploma desirable)
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within disability or care
  • Strong understanding of NDIS and person-centred practice
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working With Children Check (if required)
  • First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call as required
