
Business Development Manager

We are currently seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team in these locations.
As a Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to develop and nurture service relationships with our truck service customers. You will also have the opportunity to generate sales leads for Parts and Truck sales, contributing significantly to our growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase service traffic and build the service business predominantly in Pakenham, however, also supporting our location in Dandenong.
- Identify and build relationships with service customers to enhance our truck service offerings.
- Engage in proactive sales efforts, including door-to-door outreach to uncover new business opportunities.
- Generate and qualify sales leads for Parts and Truck sales, which will supplement your commissions.
- Collaborate with department managers to qualify leads and secure business contracts.
- Foster strong relationships with existing and potential customers to ensure repeat business.
- Monitor and report on market trends, customer feedback, and sales performance to inform strategic decisions.
- Ensure flexibility in working hours to accommodate customer needs and industry demands.
- Meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales and customer engagement.
- Stay informed about products, service schedules, and promotions.
- Proven experience in business development or account management, preferably within the trucks or other automotive-related industries.
- Ideal for candidates with previous experience in a dealership truck environment, ideally as a truck salesperson or service advisor.
- A strong sales-savvy personality with a proven track record in driving sales and achieving KPIs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate, proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, CRM software and effectively composes coherent and well-structured emails.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to driving sales and maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with truck servicing and parts sales is advantageous.
- Clean and valid driver's licence.
