Your day as an Advisor

As an Advisor in Industrial Relations Team at NSW Treasury, you'll deliver high-quality analysis and trusted advice to support government decision-making on key IR issues. You'll collaborate with stakeholders, analyse data to assess policy impacts and help develop frameworks that guide Treasury's approach.

This role is central to building strong relationships and delivering policy outcomes that align with fiscal and economic objectives. At NSW Treasury, you'll join a diverse, supportive team committed to your professional growth, offering flexible work, ongoing learning, and the chance to make a real impact for the people of New South Wales.

Achieve success as Advisor

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience providing economic, fiscal, or policy analysis and advice to support government decisions.
  • Proven ability to communicate analysis clearly to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaborative interpersonal skills.
  • Track record of delivering outcomes under tight deadlines in high-pressure environments.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and proficiency in data analysis, Excel, and public sector financial management practices; understanding of NSW Government context is preferred.
