THE POSITION
We are seeking a Melbourne based, ambitious and enthusiastic person desiring to utilise your scientific abilities as a sales professional.
This self-motivated person through direct sales and working as part of a team will support and manage existing accounts as well as develop new business. Critical to your success will be your ability to build and maintain effective business relationships with our customers. This is a perfect mix of science and the commercial world.
THE COMPANY
Integrated Sciences is an Australian owned company established in 1983 who provide high-quality and innovative products to the Life Sciences and Clinical Diagnostics sectors throughout Australia and New Zealand. We specialise in providing sales, marketing and service support for niche International brands.
We provide and support work-flow solutions for next-generation sequencing (NGS) and PCR/qPCR. In addition, reagents and instrumentation for single cell analysis, epigenetics, nucleic acid purification and sample QC are sold and supported to a diverse range of customers from Research Organisations, Hospitals, Core facilities and Diagnostic laboratories.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Achieve designated sales budget and specific product related sales targets
Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and customers
Maintain complete and accurate customer data
Develop and implement sales strategies in conjunction with the product specialists and management to sustain and develop new business
Represent the company at conferences and customer events
Respond to customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner
Maintain a high level of product knowledge for all products
Effectively communicate and provide feedback to the Company on customer expectations
Adhere to the Company's requirements of the Quality Management System.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
A strong scientific competency with a degree in the fields of molecular biology is preferred
Prior sales and account management experience in the Life Science industry with a proven record in creating revenue is highly desirable, however full training and mentoring will be provided to the right candidate
Laboratory experience in a Genomics research laboratory or core facility with next generation sequencing experience is essential
Ability to interpret, communicate and present technical information
Strong interpersonal skills with high attention to detail is required
Polished oral and written communication skills
Success in this role is measured by business growth and expansion of customer base, economic profitability and customer satisfaction.
Experience in Microsoft Office products and Customer Relationship Management tools
A valid driver's license is essential
You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident to be considered.
