Your opportunity
As a Labourer (Structures and Concrete) at Quilpie Shire Council, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining the infrastructure that connect our vibrant communities.
Reporting to the Structures and Concrete Supervisor, you will carry out various tasks on vital construction and maintenance projects across our region.
With integrity and pride, you will:
● Perform general labourer tasks to support Council's maintenance, road construction and miscellaneous operations
● Ensure the safety of our workers and community, by installing and maintaining adequate roadworks signage
● Ensure the Workplace Health and Safety and Quality plans/requirements are adhered to

What you'll bring
You are a resilient and adaptable team player who thrives in a hands-on, outdoors role. With a sharp eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety, you are motivated to achieve for our 700-strong community, sharing our values of Respect, Communication, Fun and Humour, Pride, Trust, and Teamwork.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
● Current General Construction Induction card
● Current Queensland 'C' Class Driver's Licence
● The ability to obtain skills in the use and maintenance of small plant
● Fitness to undertake regular manual labour work
● Sufficient communication skills to deal with members of the public and other Council officers; and
Although it's not essential, it would be great if you had:
● Current Queensland 'MR' or 'HR' (or preferably 'HC') Driver's Licence
● Concreting experience
● Up to date knowledge of construction and maintenance techniques and approaches
