About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering high-standard training in the Civil/Mining trade related areas including developing and utilising a variety of learning resources and teaching methodologies.
  • Ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment in both workshops and simulated training settings.
  • Engaging with a diverse student population, including both adult learners and school-age students.
The successful applicant will have:
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience in the Civil Construction and Mining Industry.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE40116 or TAE40122.
  • Minimum Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent.
  • A thorough and practical knowledge of Civil/Mining trade related areas.
Highly desirable:
  • A broad range of experience across different sectors of the Civil Construction and Mining industry.
  • Capability in using Microsoft Office Suite and associated programs. Moodle or similar LMS systems, or an ability to learn Digital tasks.
  • Passion for developing and implementing inclusive and contemporary teaching methodologies.
  • Qualifications at Certificate III level relevant to the Mining Industry.
  • Out of hours work may be required and a flexible approach to the hours of duty is essential.
  • Some Intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
  • May be required to relocate to other campuses within TAFE SA.
  • Incumbent will be required to participate in the Department's performance Development Program.
  • A flexible approach to the taking of leave is essential.
  • Eligible to work in Australia
