Job Title: Site Engineer
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to lead our team on the Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre (LMWQCC) upgrade project.
This is a 4-year Design and Construct program to modernise the plant's solids handling system and support future growth and air emission standard updates.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) responsibilities as identified in the Project's Management Plans and associated documents.
- Identify and escalate potential and actual risks that may impact safe, timely and cost-efficient delivery of activities under management.
- Oversee quality production defined by method statements and integrated task plans.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure acceptable quality of structures and finishes.
- Establish, measure and report daily productivities for assigned activities.
- Undertake cost controlling and estimating as required by the Project Manager.
- Develop, monitor, and report on programmes for elements of work as required by the Project Manager.
- Lead work teams in the field.
- Verify subcontractors' claims and variations.
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent degree.
- Previous experience working in a civil engineering or construction environment, preferably on-site.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Excel.
- Ability to produce a critical path network with up to 100 activities.
- Ability to prepare, monitor and update short-term production bar charts.
- Working knowledge of safety legislation, Australian Standards and industry codes.
- Understanding of specific project scope of works and contractual procedures for managing change.
- Understanding of distribution of contractual responsibilities between Client, Contractor, Subcontractor and Supplier.
