About the role

The Financial Systems Officer is responsible for providing specialist financial systems support, database administration services and performing reporting or analysis activities. The role collaborates between internal and external users and service providers to monitor, maintain, diagnose and troubleshoot system, database and reporting related matters. The Financial Systems Officer contributes to maintaining and improving internal controls to ensure the integrity and availability of financial information. Additionally, the role will participate in financial system projects, business process reviews and assist in other finance and budgetary matters as directed.

Essential: Nil

Desirable:

  • An appropriate degree or diploma with significant computing content and/or relevant industry experience.
  • An appropriate degree or diploma in Accountancy or related field.

Special conditions

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration

ASO5 $85,790 - $95,413 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading.
