The Opportunity:

KBR is seeking an IDE Officer to provide IT administration services, coordinate continued system reliability, manage user access and authorisations, and deliver user training and competency assessment for those across the ACS CLCM.

You will collaborate with each functional area to provide level 1 ICT technical support and will participate in the implementation and maintenance of the IDE Management Plan, ensuring alignment with the contracted scope of work.

As the IDE Officer, you will champion enterprise-wide adoption of the IDE governance processes established under the IDE Management Plan and will contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives and opportunities to create new value for the ACS CLCM.

This role is based out of Garden Island, Sydney.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to internal users of IDE applications and systems.
  • Answer questions related to procedures, transactions, system status, interacting with network services and application developers in order to restore service, usability, and identify problems.
  • Under general supervision, solve complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices.
  • Use experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes.
  • Devise new approaches to problems encountered.
  • Plan, schedule and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of ICT techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Perform work which involves conventional practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, systems integration, information security, and difficult coordination requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance to the IDE Services Team members, and to stakeholders across the ACSSPO environment.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or IT Management.
  • Experience in providing ICT System Administration/technical support services within a large corporate environment.
  • Highly developed organisational and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated abilities to develop positive working relationships through high level communications skills.
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience, with typical experience ranging from 7-10 years.
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for viewing ITAR protected materials.

Desirable:

  • Experience in IT service delivery within the Department of Defence.
  • Experience in supporting sustainment programs within CASG.

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
