About the role

Join the experienced team at SPE Water Jetters' as a full-time Traffic Controller / Linemarker. Based in Kingston, Tasmania, this role involves managing traffic flow and safety on short-term construction sites, as well as operating specialist machinery to mark and remove lines.

What you'll be doing

  • Controlling and directing traffic flow at work sites to ensure safety of workers and the public
  • Operating line marking equipment to apply road markings
  • Operating line removal machinery using ultra high pressure water
  • Setting up and maintaining traffic control equipment such as signs, barriers, and cones
  • Monitoring site conditions and adjusting traffic control measures as needed
  • Assisting the team with general labouring duties

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in either traffic control or line marking
  • Willingness to learn operation of line marking and line removal machinery
  • Availability to work across the state, sometimes over multiple days
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with workers and the public
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A valid driver's licence and preferably a medium rigid license
