About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic for a short-term role in St George, QLD. You'll be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles, trucks, and plant equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations.

Responsibilities

  • Service, repair, and maintain heavy vehicles, trucks, and machinery.
  • Carry out mechanical diagnostics and preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure equipment is safe, compliant, and in good working order.
  • Report and record any faults, damage, or incidents.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience with heavy plant, trucks, or fleet vehicles.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Current driver's licence (forklift licence desirable).
  • Reliable, safe, and professional work approach.
