Current Opportunity: Psychological Coordinator

Location: Sydney, Australia

Remote/Hybrid: Hybrid

Full-Time: 37.5 hours per week

What you will do:

We are looking for someone with a qualification in clinical and pathological psychology, solid experience in professional support within companies, and a strong knowledge of physical accident issues and the people involved in redeployment. Within a social and professional rehabilitation department, you will be responsible for managing projects to help people on long-term sick leave return to work, in accordance with the Workplace Options charter, the code of ethics for psychologists, and the insurance framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual telephone and video interviews with stakeholders and insured persons.
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team (doctor, clinical and professional psychologists, social worker, physical trainer) to analyze personal and professional issues and disabilities that impact the return to work.
  • Implement and coordinate individual return-to-work programs.
  • Manage, supervise, and coordinate the regional network of support providers to ensure ethical, effective, and high-quality services.
  • Recruit professionals when necessary.
  • Contribute to the financial growth of the company by providing financial reports on activities.
  • Participate in internal and external training activities related to your skills.
  • Provide statistical reports and oral presentations on interventions to clients.
  • Maintain links with insurance providers.
  • Seek solutions to professional issues: mobility, disability, redeployment, retirement.
  • Any additional tasks pertinent to the position, as deemed appropriate by management.

Qualifications/skills:

  • Masters Degree in Clinical and pathological psychology and/or ergonomics with significant knowledge of occupational psychology and/or corporate HR.
  • Good knowledge of the corporate environment and reclassification stakeholders (management, human resources, occupational physician, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of social assistance programs.
  • At least 5 years' experience in supporting people and good knowledge of social welfare systems for people with disabilities.
  • Good writing skills and good verbal communication skills.
  • Good IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry would be an advantage.
