RSL Queensland
(RSLQ) is a dynamic, not-for-profit organisation delivering innovative programs and initiatives that support veterans and their families.
The Growth & Transformation department is responsible for driving new growth and revenue opportunities to ensure the long-term sustainability of RSL Queensland, as well as delivering its transformation project. With an entrepreneurial approach, the Growth business unit works to identify, develop and implement revenue streams that support RSLQ in achieving its strategic goals.
This role drives the development and execution of strategic initiatives, providing insight and direction to ensure organisational goals are met, and supporting the leadership team in delivering sustainable growth in a complex and commercially focused environment.
Reporting to the Head of Innovation & Growth and as part of the Innovation & Growth team, key responsibilities include:
- leading the development, monitoring and delivery of strategic plans and frameworks
- commercial analysis – translating data into recommendations
- partnering with senior leaders to identify opportunities, risks and emerging trends
- driving the translation of organisational objectives into actionable strategies and initiatives
- utilising desktop and other research to ratify strategic recommendations and validate initiatives under consideration
- building business cases and financial models in support of initiatives under consideration
About you:
- minimum 7 years' experience in strategy, business planning, consulting, or a related field
- tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, economics, or similar
- proven track record in leading the development of successful organisational strategies
- strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- strong modelling and financial skills
- demonstrated experience in preparing executive-level reports and presentations
- the very best stakeholder engagement and influencing capability
Professional experience acquired within commercial settings underpinned by post graduate qualifications (MBA or similar) will make your application even more appealing. Your exposure to transformation or change management programs and working knowledge of governance frameworks and performance measurement will complete the picture.
