Join our Property Services Team as a Property Partner, where you'll play a key role in facilitating property approvals, developing property strategies, and providing advice and support across a diverse range of property transactions and projects.
About the Role
Reporting to Manager, Property Services, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the stewardship of Church property assets, working across leasing, maintenance, acquisitions, disposals, and small-scale developments. With support from experienced managers in the team, you'll help ensure property matters are managed with integrity, transparency, and alignment to Church values.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure property processes comply with Church Regulations, By-laws, Property Policy, and statutory requirements
- Communicate with Presbyteries and Congregations to gather information and provide recommendations on property transactions
- Facilitate governance and approval processes for property matters within the Property Trust
- Respond to property enquiries via phone and email, providing guidance on procedure, best-practice and strategy, within agreed timeframes
- Maintain and update property databases and file management systems
- Review and manage planning approvals, leases, and maintenance projects (reactive, preventative, capital works)
- Prepare property reports and conduct site audits across metro and regional locations (some regional travel required)
- Liaise with councils, consultants, contractors, and service providers
- Identify and support grant and funding opportunities, including assisting with submissions
- Provide administrative support to the Manager and Head of Property Services
- Undertake additional duties as directed
About You
You're a property professional with at least two years' experience and a good understanding of lease administration, property management database systems, and stakeholder engagement. You're collaborative, proactive, and confident in navigating diverse property matters from maintenance to acquisitions.
You will bring:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Property Management or related field
- Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice or equivalent experience
- A current and valid NSW Driver's License
- Advanced computer literacy
- Lease administration and property database experience
- Flexible, collaborative, and proactive in navigating challenges and delivering positive outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups
- Maintains a high standard of confidentiality and professional integrity
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills
- A willingness to work within the ethos of the Uniting Church in Australia
