Trinity Anglican School is seeking a compassionate and skilled School Counsellor to join our team on a temporary basis to cover a staff member taking maternity leave.

Do you have:
· AHPRA registration,
· Experience in child protection.
· Qualifications in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent)
· Experience working in a school environment as a Counsellor/Psychologist (desirable).
· Blue Card or registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
· HLTAID004 Certificate – Provide Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting (desirable)
· HLTAID001 Certificate – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) (desirable)
Are you a team member who can:
· Provide short-term counselling for students in the areas of personal counselling, academic counselling, prevention and early intervention, case management, career counselling, psycho-educational / psychometric testing, advocacy and referral.
· Recommend and assist parents with appropriate referrals for their child where ongoing counselling or other forms of support are needed.
· Maintain confidential, accurate and professional records and have a strong understanding of the legislative requirements pertaining to these records
· Report suspected abuse and harm in line with the Schools Child and Risk Management Strategy.
· Maintain currency in all relevant legislation, such as Student Protection, and ensure the implementation of all requirements of such legislation applicable to this role.
· In consultation with the Head of Teaching and Learning and Heads of Campus, effectively manage a case load across two Primary and one Secondary campus.
